Don’t get that one. It’s actually cheaper then ECNL. Boys DA has MLS clubs (more money) to fund boys DA. They move one single kid to Europe and program is paid for years. Just not even close on girls side.

Yes but ECNL is not run and funded by the USSF! My point is if you’re going to run a national program make it fully funded for boys and girls, find the best of the best and keep it limited. Instead it’s a big business on the girls side and yes it’s similar to ECNL but with more bs, limitations and nonsense.

The national program is fully funded. The clubs and leagues are not.

In Boys DA only MLS clubs and a handful of other clubs are partially funded.

In Europe the academies are fully funded and some include room and board, similar to IMG, which costs a ton of money. Those academies make money from future transfers of the players. I don't know what the rules are but the money is significant and could include first 2-3 transfers. In US, the academies don't make any money from transfers. Even when a player leaves to play in Europe.

In order for clubs to provide this "fully funded" service, there has to be a business model behind it. Right now you are barking up the wrong tree, allow for compensation to the academy for training, and its a start - regardless whether its a GDA, ECNL or EDP whatever you want club.

Great news looks like we landed in the new Girls Academy League....should be a step up from DA with substitution rules changed and HS play allowed. Basically all of the great things that were missing from the flawed DA system are now available for everyone’s enjoyment!

Well, except for yourself, of course.

And this is where a problem lies. DA complained about having $9M expenses. If this country would just make a law where youth clubs get money for developing players, it would help youth clubs invest.

For instance, Pulisic and McKennie went to Europe before turning 18. They weren't sold in a transfer. Their youth clubs didn't get one penny for developing them. Since we're on STA, if Red Bulls came and wants to take a boy or girl, fantastic. Not that they need the money but they should throw STA a few bucks so that they can invest in more youth players.

Ok, wrong example with this club but you get the picture. If a kid from Morris Plains goes to Red Bull, RBNY should give his/her original club a bone.

Great concept mate, how much did STA pay Stallions per player for bringing them over??

                          We can ask them.

There should be transfer fees for all these club hoppers. Would end this silliness.

Great news playing against Seacoast and LI SC! Pure B League with immense traveling. Better off in EDP.

                                😂 You’re too much.

What about NEFC and Oakwood? EDP level teams? What about the other teams outside of the division, that they will play at the Regional and National Events?

I really dislike using the word ‘hater,’ but some of you guys are just so transparent about it. If you’re daughter is going to ply EDP next year, that’s great. Enjoy. But let’s not pretend the 2 leagues are even remotely comparable.
