    NCAA Womens 2015 Tournament

    Brackets released yesterday:

Reminds me of the Men's Basketball Big Dance - large powerhouse programs mixed in with small regional schools I have never heard of!

Will the men's field have 64 teams as well?

The men's field will have 64 teams, unlike the women's field that has about 25 teams from the ACC/Pac-12/SEC and the rest made up from no-hopers.
Even if you cut it down to 16 teams, there would still be no-hopers in there. There just aren't 20 decent women's soccer programs in college.

Actually looks to be the other way around- only 48 teams in the men's field

Some schools with big football programs don't have men's soccer teams (ie FSU, UF). Scholarships go to football. That's why so many more women's teams (Title IX).

48 men's college teams but only 20 decent male players out of the whole bunch. Just ask the US MNT coach, the Hitler youth named Klinsmann

That's why the field is so diluted. Almost 200 women's DI soccer programs. Let's say 25 kids per program = 5000 girls playing D1 college soccer over 4 years = 1,250 new kids pulled from high school each year. And you wonder why the standard is as bad as it is.

The truth hurts. Come back with a counter argument next time.

Bet ya $10 SEC teams win more of the games they play against ACC teams. FLA, T A&M, SC, Mizzu, Auburn and Ole Miss will all dust ACC teams they face.

What a shame that men's college soccer suffers to support women's soccer! No wonder the MNT cannot compete at the world level when the women do.

Why is it a shame? And it's one or the other, men's soccer or women's soccer? Pretty sure you suffer because of MENS swimming and diving, basketball, lacrosse, track and field, baseball and of course football. It is not one sport for one sport, men's college soccer "suffers" because AMERICAN men would rather play other sports. PS if they changed the scholarships would go to foreign men not AMERICANs, at least our women are good enough at soccer to get spots on the D1 teams and keep some of the foreigners out...our "men", opps not so much.

and if not the Gators, I'd pull for FSU, FGCU, UCF, or USF. Florida teams owned at women's college soccer this year. SEC, ACC tournament champions. FGCU won their conference championship. USF lost in the final of their. Way to represent FLORIDA ladies.
