Here we go again... PDP Central Florida, Oct. 3rd?

This event was supposed to take place last August and then the date came and went and the web site was simply updated to push the date forward:

    US Club Soccer PDP
    Oct. 3, 2015 | TBD; central Florida
    Targeting 1997-2002 boys and girls

Now we are about 2-weeks out and still no updates. How is it that Virginia can have 2 of the events in the same amount of time that we can't seem to have one? How hard is it to organize these?

The person heading this up in Florida should be removed.

Why? Because your kid didn't get invited?

No, because he is overwhelmed and can't find the time to hold the event.

"He" is Eric Dade of JFC, and there is a lot more to putting on a PDP event than just having room on his schedule. Many coaches take part and the logistics have to work as well. The events we have been to have been well run and the highest level of competition. It is very selective, and for good reason. That way you don't have to go through the weeding out of rec and premier level players. We look forward to attending again!

We all look forward to attending again, hoping our kids efforts get that coveted bid to the upcoming id2's. However no PDP or a PDP 2 weeks before the last NC id2 leaves FL players at a disadvantage and without proper representation from ED. US Club should be seeing red flags in his leadership abilities. ED needs to give up the reigns if he can't fulfill his role or responsibility to FL players.

Id2 is next week in NJ. Bids have already gone out I'm sure.

Not sure what you do for a living but this is just basic Scheduling 101. This is probably much less complicated to schedule than a small family reunion! Ensuring the highest level of competition is just part of the scheduling process. Like all good scheduling it is as simple as sitting down with a calendar, a spreadsheet and a phone and putting the focused attention into getting it nailed down. If he is too busy then someone else should do it. And they shouldn't post a THIRD bogus date and "Location TBD" if they can't make this one work - just wipe it off the books!

So is that 2 id2's FL and ED have failed our players.
