Well, last night's loss should remove any bit of foundation which for which Garrett could have used to argue for another year. It's too bad the AD doesn't relieve him so that the team could be coached by the assistants for the last two games. Actually, wonder if Garrett will even show up for the games until just before game time. Let the darkness clear and a new dawn begin.

Well it shows how much you know about soccer. Do you know his assistants can't coach either?

Also, I didn't say the game was only meaningful to Garrett. These are competitors. They want to win.

We are no longer playing rec soccer where everyone gets in the games and orange slices at the end.

They had a chance to win 2 conference games in a row and they went for it.

I am sure if Garrett would have played all of his players and lost or tied, you would have gone on here telling everyone that was a stupid decision.
You are playing Rec soccer because he recruits players from FC Portland!

Yes what is your point? It would stand to reason that a school is going to start their recruiting efforts as close to home as possible and since FCP clearly produces (not develops I said produces) the best talent in the area (and it's not even close even though you think you have an argument to the contrary) it stands to reason that they will have some of their local talent on the roster. #fakenews

And it’s very clear the FC Portland has lead the Pilots to last place in the WCC with two losses to st. Mart’s and pacific who both were slaughtered by a combined score or 16-0 down south.

            1) Fire the entire coaching staff.
            2) new coach tells the girls he/she is playing the kids that best fit his style and no position or scholarship is safe! Allow for a mass transfer. Re-eval recruits and lower heir money if needed. It’s late in the recruiting process and the 2018’s are at the coaches mercy.

This approach will allow the coach to rebuild faster but will likely have 2 dismal seasons.
Keeping the recruits and all current players would mean mediocrity for 5 years and a dismissal.

Smith carried a slim roster and gave his players nice packages.
Need to have 36 on the roster like everyone else.

And players from ALL other clubs are so far below rec level that he has no other choice. Just the facts.

UP has the best players from Oregon, hands down. What more do you want from a small, local, private college?

                    Pepperdine is gorgeous

                    Santa Clara in Silicon Valley

                    BYU has a special niche

What’s in Portland????? They will 26 full scholarships to be competitive in the WCC.

You are so clueless that you don't even know how many full scholarships D1 girls soccer has.

To in reality get the best players from Oregon and make a go of it. UofP most certainly isn't getting the best. The best have been turned off by UofP for a number of years now.

Don't tell Garrett that, he thinks the players who have been playing for him for years are the best in the country. Even though he couldn't win in club with them. Another loss for UP. A non renewal is coming. I pity the rec teams that he ends up coaching in next year. No college team will touch him in the future. Look out rec teams in North Portland, the Pink Daisy's and the Purple Princesses are going to be really formidable with Garrett guiding them.

That's laughable. Smith has mental issues. He should never be in charge of a competitive soccer team ever again.

I wouldn't put him in charge of the Aloha Soccer Club rec program.

#fakenews? You've gotta be a Trump moron? If you are, you will fall for any kind of garbage and FC Portland is one of them. Go to your almighty club and ask the DOC's (if you can find them) to show you their plan for the future. You can then come back one here and apologize for being a moron!
