    Interesting statement Groton Dad.

While Groton is 4-0-1 in the last 5 games, those teams combined record is
16-45-11 with half the wins coming from St. Mark’s.

1-3-2 against the top 6 teams in ISL. Not sure that will get it done against Brooks.

I agree that Groton was underrated but it eeked out a spot in the tourney so it is hard to say that it is still underrated. Didn't Brooks lose an offensive players to injury? It should be a good game.

That's one way to look at it. On the other hand, Groton was 1-1-2 against the other Class B ISL teams that made the tournament, with draws against Brooks and Rivers, a 1-0 win against StM and a 1-0 match to Middlesex. That tells me that, while Brooks is righly the favorite, Groton has a decent chance here.

This is cherry picking. If MA and BH were clearly better than Brooks, it might be reasonable to exclude those results. But they're not.

One thing that would help Groton is if all three refs are good. If they don't allow the game to get dirty (and Brooks will play a dirty, physical game (not all players but a decent number of them) if the refs allow it) then Groton has a decent chance. If not fuggedaboutit!

Dirty or aggressive? There is a difference and most parents who have never played competitive soccer don’t understand the difference. Sounds like that is the case here. The refs are the refs and looking to them to get a result is weak.

                  Dirty (did I say aggressive?).

Since when did Groton become so aggressive. (Yes, aggressive, not dirty.) We have one crazy parent from RL and another from Groton. What is the world coming to?! We expect the banter and muscle-flexing from the Milton/Nobles/Bel Hill crowd.

                      Groton are overrated

Looking at Groton's late string of results it seems they will be coming into the game feeling good about themselves. But realistically they won't be ready for Brooks... The physicality they bring to the game along with a sound technical core will run this over-rated Groton side over. Bearing in mind that this is the same team that has lost to BBN and RL. (Angry Groton parents, you can proceed to reply in anger)

                        Two Predictions

                        1) Brooks 3
                        Groton 1

                        2) Neither team wins the ISL Sportsmanship Award

Rivers has lots of young talent including there star striker number nine Charles who my son on nobles says is committed to Wake Forest. Apparently he will be a major factor in Rivers playoff run for Class B. Rivers also has a promising young star in Aidan Davock who has been ripping up defenses all year. This dynamic duo will most likely be enough to stun South Kent and win New England for the first time since 2012.

this is the most ridiculous thing that has been said on here all year. south kent, as flawed as they may be as a program (what with playing in B, etc), will rip rivers to shreds and it wouldn't even be close. The idea that a day school in Weston can compete with SK, with all of their international and domestic talent, is laughable.

Admittedly, it is hard to tell sometimes given how ridiculous some of these posts are, but this one about Rivers and “Charles” from Nobles surely is in jest.......

I agree that anything that comes out of Nobles is most likely garbage....
