well..there are..and you would think affiliated with a Div 1 college program that you would have more than just the D level you can find at all superliga anchor teams..let's be real..this is a SK and South County offshoot and a jobs program for some of the URI players with the surplus going to the men's program for having the association and use of facilities.. It should be much better..maybe when GE takes control over it at some point..

Other poster is right..you can't even form single age group teams or even put your younger teams in a basic premier league..even a few town associations can do that..but hey, you want to throw $1600 to play in MASC or only play half a year..go for it..

To be fair here premier has almost never been strong in the southern part of the state. That is due to strong associations there and that there are many multi sport kids who do not want to commit to mostly soccer at young ages.

Which makes you wonder about approaches like Bayside South..except you realize it is simply a churn and burn approach.

The better approach in the south would be to do something like the former URI women's coach did..keep 2 teams where the selectivity and personal attention attracts and retains the high caliber players from the region's best schools..just form them at u15 and keep the younger group interest through the camps and clinics. The current RAMS have diluted their brand with several very weak multi-age teams mixed in with a couple of very good teams.

It is also the archaic community rule approach that treats Richmond the same as Warwick. If SRI wants some geographical limits, then go by counties (say no more than 2 counties). The kids in the south, especially the low density communities, may get shut out at the u12-u14 level from a SC or OS. Or, SRI should change the rule that it does not apply to teams in premier league instead of just to premier clubs) -- as long as a team can get into MAPLE, why should they be disadvantaged against their MA or RI premier counterparts?

And is MASC considered a premier league? Half of those RAMS teams would not even win RI superliga anchor..

If you are going to their tryout this week, ask first where they are playing before you write that $1700 check to play in MA Superliga..(and the B division at that)..

Are the RAMS offering a price cut because they are not playing in a Fall league?

RAMS U16 girls coach is also EG assistant girls coach..closes off having any of those EG girls coming to the RAMS or facing RIIL violation..maybe that is why EG does not list her with RIIL as a coach..

Should be for U13..not even in State Cup? Playing 2 divisions lower than a RI town team in NEFC tournament? Playing 2-4 divisions lower than RI town and other non-NEP premier teams?

At least Bruno played in the same NEFC division as a town team..of course they did not win since the RI town team won the entire division..so much for spending an extra $1200 bucks..
