    Anything good in danbury sportsdome?

Any good soccer training going on in this place?

They run a lot of leagues and rent space to others who run programs, but don't seem to do much themselves. I think they run some day programs for the super ulittles.

Never knew there was a dome there. Looks like hardly any indoor soccer activity with a cursory look at their site. Also crappeir facility while more expensive than FSA.

There's actually quite a lot of space - and since you've never been there FSA fanboy you wouldn't know that would you? Pretty new facility too. Also, they're not running "teams" out of there, just like the other poster said teams rent space from them. They've got a few clinics and that's about it.

Its a piece of crap. Domes suck to begin with, no wonder why they charge $1200 per team with "all that space" their isn't enough interest in that crap.

Let me guess - someone you don't like is involved with it?

So you've never been, know nothing, had to get a dig in AND and had to get an FSA plug in there as well. Your agenda is more than obvious.

The best players are made in the streets. Or the dirt. With no shoes. Shirts and skins. Facility "niceness" provides nothing more than parental comfort. Kids could care less.

Yes, frostbite be dammed let them play barefoot outside in February. I agree indoor facilities don't need to be nice but they need to exist around here to stay sharp over the winter. Ever notice how teams/clubs/states that perform well in soccer are often warm-climate states? Yes they're also big population states. However, being able to play virtually any time - even to just kick the ball around in your own yard - certainly enhances opportunities for playing/practicing

so you both agree that playing more = better players- good
thats why in Cold weather climates these buildings and opportunities are needed

Please Dome is a nice facility. Showing your ignorance and fanboy status

From a field and playing standpoint, the Danbury Sports Dome is the nicest indoor facility in Connecticut. True full size field, great lighting, parking, and only a few years old. Not soccer-centric, seems to be lots of lacrosse out of there. I'd have thought they'd try to establish teams out of their (whether soccer or lacrosse). Maybe too expensive for that.

FSA is a great indoor venue and for the facility as a whole, nothing in CT compares. But it has no full-sized field to match the Danbury Sports Dome.

It's a facility, not a club. Other facilities have tried running teams with little success. Running a facility isn't the same thing as as running teams, unless you hire someone who understands that business.

I agree it's a nice place and having more indoor options is good for all. Not sure who has a beef with the place other than someone with an agenda/axe to grind with somebody. All different clubs, trainers, sports use the place.
