    Naples optimist bonita azzurri storm

Everyone probably is aware, but beware of this club and those who run it...into the ground.

What happened? Something must have been really bad. Spew it to all.

No specifics here, just that they are a mess and have had a hard time putting together some teams and that a lot of parents aren't happy with how the teams have performed and progressed. Oh, and certain people that run the club have giant ego's - not in the interest of the kids.

You just described every club in the state of Florida.

Bonita Azzurri Storm is a competitive travel club with a 1000 player strong feeder program courtesy of the Naples Optimist club, which has been around for more than 30 years.

Coaches are among the most experienced in the area, with most coaches having more than 2 decades of coaching experience. Many serve or have served as head coaches of Naples high school State finalist teams, and competitive travel FYSA State Cup teams. They have field locations in both Lee and Collier counties, and teams train together as a unified club at one of 2 locations...not individual teams scattered around 3 or 4 different fields all over the county like their neighbors to the south.

Most coaches volunteer their time for the love of the game. They're not issued contracts and paid salaries while working for a highly compensated DOC. As a result, Bonita's registration fee plus uniform (included, unlike neighboring clubs) is HALF of their competitors.

Good luck with your club this season, and leave the critical comments about Bonita out of it.

Just sbout all the players who play travel soccer in Collier County were developed here. The best players in Lee County came from here.

They go for one year and then quit soccer. That is the perception. As for younger kids, it appears the majority just get turned off to soccrr and quitt the sport. May be the worse thing for soccer. But people who read this site from area know it. Parents new to soccer and whom get caught up with lower price dont realize there is a reason why it is cheap. I may be wrong but that is from our experience and conversations with others.

This pretty much sums it up. And coaches that take away any joy and love for the game. So many kids go to rec, or just quit. So many things that this club sells parents on and doesn't deliver.

Really? I have been told the truth and did my research and I am very grateful for The Azzurri Storm. Give them a break they are trying to turn the program around.

Shame to see the U17 team from last year spit up, they were always a top 5 team. I heard a couple of the star players were seniors last year.
