The "top team" will vary by age group. It depends on where the most talented players at each birth year decide to migrate to. If it's equally split, them all the DAP did was water down talent from 3 teams (Stars, NEFC, FCB) to 4 teams ( Stars-DAP/ECNL, NEFC DAP, FCB ECNL). Let's face it, for most of these age groups it was a battle just fielding one top ECNL team. Now 4? This is not going to be good for the club(s) that end up with a mixed talent pool on a team.

dilution of talent has been an issue for years. new england can support 2, maybe 3 teams. not 4 in mass alone. 1 in greater boston, or 1 north and 1 south and a team in springfield to pick up central + western mass, northern conn, southern vt, eastern ny would be ideal. we all know usysa is as reliant upon and club centric as u.s. club and ecnl.

Guess none of you know that the NT has a database that keeps track of players and that all of the registration information is on-line and available to them.

How many current Stars ECNL players ya think will jump over to DA? If most ECNL players stay put, who are they filling the DA teams with?? Their own NPL players? Scorps players? Still trying to figure out how they fill both DA and ECNL teams and claim both are tops.

Originally posted by UnregisteredAnd having actually attended the meeting, it was well run, no one was up in arms, and there are a lot of opportunities and support across programs. Whoever wrote that parents were up in arms was definitely not there. JD presented a PowerPoint for 45 minutes and answered and encouraged questions for another 45. He said nothing negative about DA or ECNL. So sorry to ruin your false narrative. It was actually impressive.
