Fast forward several years later and here we are with not on discussion about the state cup. Years ago this site would have been blown up about fsa, CFC, beachside,,etc

Take a look at who's in the CJSA finals. No top clubs participate any longer. Top clubs all moved into DA, ECN, NPL etc with their own playoffs. Some brackets are comical they're so small. USCS has their own state cup as well, with better teams but also small brackets. No, it isn't what it used to be and it wasn't that long ago

Stamford U-13 has ONE talented player

The Stamford U13 team is legit. Their top players should go to NYFC or NYRB pretty soon.

That Stamford U13 has one very talented player. It also has one decent player. The rest of the team is marginal at best. The one player really carries that team. At u13 one player like him can still have a huge impact, however at u-14, u-15 etc. he will be marginalized.

Regardless of the talent of that one individual that Stamford team is the best non-DA team in the state. An argument can be made that if they were to scrimmage either CT DA program they'd be in a really competitive game.

My bad, this is the Stamford YSL premier team (not travel) playing in the State Cup with only 5 other teams.

Last season. Next year probably half the team will be gone - eihter moving up to better premier teams, dropping down or out altogether. Ulittle parents always get excited
