      Correction....

5 minutes and a whole second half to go.

So yes, I would expect any kid looking to get in the game to work her ass off.

The USWNT put Carly Lloyd in the game on Wednesday with maybe 3 minutes and stoppage time left to play. Former best player in the world. Has all the accolades and a certain Hall of Famer. What did she do in the 5 or so minutes playing time she had?

      She worked her ass off.

      Lesson over.......

There are very few high school coaches getting $7,000 per season. At least not at a public school that plays both football and soccer.

And anyone who coaches high school knows that while you get in the fall, it's a year round job. Hours vary week to week in the off season, but there are a ton of off season activities that coaches must be involved in. Tis the nature of the beast.

Not a year round job unless you are JN and you have to recruit in the off-season. For most HS coaches, they start a week before the season and stop when the last three whistles have blown in November to pick it up again in 10 months. Seriously, what could a HS coach possibly do in the offseason??

Our coach plays the ones who don’t contribute much, and benches the ones who deliver. Which explains why we lose every game. Time to move on is right.

Carly Lloyd now is a lot different than Carly Lloyd back in the day. She’s almost 40. Not the same scenario.

That was his. Point- she takes what time she has and makes the most of it without attitude

She was the best player in the world not too long ago

Its not about putting carly loyd in to play a game they were winning...its about giving other girls time on the pitch for future development....If this was the world cup....loyd would have played the whole game.

Barca many times does not start messi...often times they get him in at the 35 min mark...while the other teams have settled...messi comes in can can suddenly change the dynamics of a game.

You are not smart. Messi has never been subbed in at the 35 min mark. A first half sub 10 mins before halftime? NEVER. You don’t know the game! Go watch the fciac playoffs!!!

Lloyd is aging out, no where near the player she was any longer. Who’s she taking out of the lineup by the way?

You obviously don’t respect the English language. “There” is correct the first time you used it. “Their” is the second. You also mixed a plural “figures” with singular “doesn’t”.

Well, my kid's coach ensures the kids get solid programs for pre-season prep. It's pretty comprehensive. Changes year to year too, so it's not just some canned material.

Incoming captains have to participate in a leadership development program with the coaches in the spring. Seems to help them all get on the same page and the captains year to year are quite good.

I also know they have to do budgets for equipment, uniforms and stuff like that. They have to get quotes from vendors. There is a lot of planning going on as how you see in tryouts and practices. Looks clearly like a lot of work done in advance.

Plus, they have to keep up their certifications and other stuff.

I know some of this is more "elective", but I think it goes a long way into why our program does well year in and year out. Certainly well before my kid arrived and all the time she has been here.

And you ignored punctuation and grammar rules. Go back to 5th grade.
