Why would OC be suing ECNL? We've got DA! ECNL is now a 2nd tier rec league. We don't need it.

Talk to your leaders. They will keep you in the dark. Outsiders know more than insiders.

There are always technicalities. One registers under Pride and one under OCYS. If JFC can keep both under United Soccer Alliance then we can too or we'll sue.

At tryouts last year OC told coaching staff that they would have GDA and ECNL. Now they have boys ECNL. All will be announced in the next 2 weeks.

Big difference in that United Soccer Alliance is partnership with Clay County and JFC who both were awarded GDA so now instead of 2 GDA clubs in JAX they combined resources to have only 1 GDA. Plus JFC by themselves are higher performing than OC and coupled with Clay County can much more easily support both GDA and ECNL. OCYS isn't fooling anybody by registering under Pride as if Pride was going to attract any kids they likely would be from OCYS and ECNL knows that which in turn further weakens OCYS's ability to have strong ECNL teams.

US Soccer should never have awarded two GDAs in Jax. As far as success in ECNL goes that is a year to year thing. JFC did not develop its ECNL players. ECNL and DA are recruitment boosters. But hopefully development will come out of it.

Are there any strings attached for the Pride ECNL? Do they have to achieve a certain standing the first year to prove that DA hasn't undermined their ECNL teams?

There is no Pride ECNL but rather OCYS ECNL. OCYS is trying to claim that Pride has the DA and OCYS has ECNL and claiming that OCYS does not have DA and should therefore not have ECNL taken from them because no conflict of interest. However, because both Pride and OCYS are owned by OC that is why ECNL is having issue because at OCYS the top girls will be groomed for DA not ECNL.

                                Explained simply:

Four separate operations under one umbrella:

                                1) MLS OC and their DA
                                2) NWSL Pride and their DA
                                3) OC Youth program - ECNL & ENPL
                                4) OCB
