Originally posted by Unregistered View PostAgree with what you are saying. Premier landscape is fluid right now. Lot of new clubs have entered the marketplace and a correction is needed/coming. Clubs that are building a stable platform will survive.
This has been said by folk here and other places for the last decade. Most of the "suspect" clubs are still around and there are a few new ones every couple of years as well.
I see nothing on the soccer landscape that shows this will be different 5 years from now.
What exactly is a "stable" club anyways? I think the principal reason kids hop clubs is based on a "grass is always greener" perspective.

Soccer is not the main sport for most GHS female athletes. The majority focus on crew and lacrosse and play on the high school soccer team for social reasons. Shoreline doesn't even have any girls hs age teams anymore.

Rush Shoreline shouldn’t be lumped in with these other struggling clubs. This Rush branch is on par with any club in CT in terms of competitive teams on both the boys and girls side. The Rush Select teams can play and beat CFC or FSA ECNL and the Oakwood teams. The soccer landscape has changed and Rush is taking over. There are several girls being recruited by D1 schools that I know of and the college placements will also be on par with the ECNL and GDA teams

Enjoy it while it lasts .... this is the last fun year where you actually like most of the parents on your kid's team!

All the Rush teams are higher then all the CFC teams and FSA teams in all age groups. It looks like FSA 05 boys only team higher across the age groups. Rush is doing something right I guess. They just have to solve the problem at Shoreline with some of the people running that.
