To where will you move? Most of the good training is outside the city. The facilities are just bigger and more comptehensive.

arent there any clubs closer to the city ideally in Manhattan or nearby where they can get decent training? these are younger kids u6 and u9. ussf/mls academy doesn't start until u13 and while they are pretty good i have no idea where they will be at that age.

So what is wrong with MSC, are they too expensive? If so, there must be an AYSO branch nearby, just enter them there, and if it isn't challenging enough, then go to MSC....

Never understood why people would choose to raise their kids in Manhattan. At some point it stops being about the adult and about the surroundings of the kids. Not many options for city soccer. Might be better for the kids at a NJ club or WC before driving to LI.

If Manhattan is so great why don’t they have a Cheesecake Factory?! What’s up now. NJ and LI have them.
Busted.

Anyway, your options for youth soccer in Manhattan are limited, definitely will have to travel somewhat outside the area.

having been around youth soccer for 15 years, there just aren't many good soccer players from manhattan. there is a reason manhattan - with 2mm population, has zero DA academy teams and maybe 1.5 semi decent premier teams at best. The handful of decent players, after a few years of dusc or asphalt green, trek over to Cedar Stars NJ, World Class, or the queens area - which is loaded with talent, at BWG or Met Oval. It's just NOT possible to get enough practice time and field space in city for any sort of development. city is just bad for kids - own up to it
