We rent a gym and let them play. Much more cost effective and players get more out of it.

Do so more research, the same caliber players are benefiting with this process both at the club, state, and high school level? Maybe this is why you would let the group into the NEFC preason tourney.
I have no affiliation with this area, the local clubs, or the facility and its club partners. That being said, the parents of the kids on your team will be drawn to the perceived value of the complex coupled with the lure of "professional" coaching for their children. Unrealistic expectations will drive them away from your team. It isn't your fault and has nothing to do with the quality of your training. I've seen it happen before.

That is a very true statement - for a year or so. Once the player isn't on the top team and is relegated to some B-Z team and the "quality" coaching dissapears so doesn't the player - on to greener pastures.

Good luck! NEFC group out Dartmouth area has had trouble growing to scale of other areas. This will be the same NEFC tries in this area. It isn't about quality of the coaching or facillity but cost. You don't think people from this area wouldn't drive to Norfolk if the cost was cheaper? It is overpriced!

You are right, NEFC needs bigger locations for practice -
50 players to 2 coach ratios.

            Forekicks does not equal NEFC.

I'd be surprised if NEFC was the main club in this area. Look for MPS to jump back in.

How many Futsal (copyright) fields at Forekicks III. Should be room for at least a dozen or more given the overwhelming popularity of this FAN-tastic sport. I hope the ceilings are at least 12 foot high as dictated by Futsal's (copyright) governing body.

Intersection of 44 & 138 along 495. Are they turning the dog track into a casino or soccer fields?

Dog track is in Raynham. Casino is going between 24 and 140.

Sour grapes Fred? Maybe if you close your eyes and keep telling yourself your world isn't collapsing it won't hurt so much.

This could probably be said for a lot of people in a lot of clubs. If you look at what orgnizations like MPS and NEFC are doing you will see the future of youth soccer. They are running their clubs like a business and that is more the trend than the exception across the country.

Those of you who still equate NEFC with FK only are still poorly informed. Nefc, MPS, and at least 30 other organizations from Lacrosse to Volleyball have already signed up for space at this facility. Marlboro is sold out during most of the prime winter hours as is Norfolk which is why they are expanding again. The quality clubs who want quality space are willng to pay for it. Their fields are some of the nicest around and that takes money. Divide the field rental by 20-25 kids and your cost is still only around $10 per session....if you child is not worth that to play for a club that uses a quality facility, then you are right to go elsewhere.

Check the list of Board of Director members at NEFC. I think you might be surprised to find the owners of Forekicks on that list.

What is the problem with that. Lots of other clubs have tried to do what NEFC is doing and have failed. I guess if you want to play in some run down converted warehouse that is your prerogative but from where I sit the NEFC/Forekicks strategic alliance is brilliant.
