Rush
CFC
Ginga
SCP
FSA
There were no players on the varsity team that played meaningful minutes that did not play for a Premier club. Any team that has aspirations to win consistently must be stocked with year round players. Guilford had a mixture of quality players from several different clubs that contributed to their success. It’s worth noting that they did it while losing their coach mid season.

I will say that as a new club they have made an impact on the Shoreline HS programs in the few short years of their existence. Maybe they continue or maybe the follow SCP down the soccer toilet, only time will tell. They do have a connection to Guilford, boys and girls. On the girls side they had 6-7 impactful players on the varsity and they have more coming through at the JV and younger ages. Don’t think anyone can dispute the numbers. On the boys side at Guilford the numbers are lower but the players are very impactful. Rush also has meaningful numbers at Hand HS, Branford, Morgan (Clinton), Lyme-Old Lyme, Old Saybrook and East Lyme. It’s interesting to note that East Lyme Girls were the Guilford opponents in the Class L State Final and their were several players from Rush on both sides of the ball.

EG loves to bring attention to himself and his program. Sure he is on here bashing other local clubs. Heard he got in trouble openly recruiting other program kids.

The top Hand and Guilford girls were ECNL players at FSA and CFC. Rush management needs to get off the message boards and stop drawing attention to yourselves

They’re not on southeast’s level - if your town program is good (or your town is one of the larger ones and as such has a large pool to draw from) your town program is likely superior. I’d imagine they’re a higher quality than Doca but not by much.

Southeast is the dominant club in this part of the state. Southeast will lose a couple of players to Oakwood every year but no one is leaving SSC for Rush. Rush is at same level as Doca and should be viewed as a training program.

Kids from SSC leave for the higher level CT Rush teams who play in the National League divisions.

Several other strong players representing several other clubs also represented on their roster.

Shoreline FC is still a good club but based in Greenwich. They had a branch in North Branford but the director BJ was pushed out finally and decided to start his own club called Shoreline United. BJ use to have a seasoned staff of good experienced coaches but now he only has a few 20 somethings and one of them didn’t even play soccer. The guy Jamie is from Guilford but never even played for the HS or coached a town team. The guys a wanna be soccer player and coach. I feel bad that some parents have fallen for his sales pitch. RUSH is solid with experienced staff but they have a lot of weak teams so it depends on which one you are interested in. EG has grown the program well.
