I'm sure already defended on this thread but why would a good 00 not play academy? I understand the 01's holding off a year but the 00's playing recreation competition or against good 01's is sad.

This issue was debated by people with widely ranging opinion (and in some cases intellect) a couple of months ago on several threads. In short, it is a decision that every player (and their parents) need to make themselves taking into account many factors.

There is plenty on great completion other than playing academy. The only reason you don't know that is because your kid wasn't on a team good enough to pursue the top tournaments. Listen if you kid is good enough to make the DA, great. Good for him and more importantly give yourself a big pat on the back and make sure you tell all your friends about it. Please consider this thread off limits to yourself as it does not pertain to you. There is a separate thread labeled just for you and your gifted child. Just try for once in your life not to be an *******.

DA is a waste of time and money in Region C. Weston and OCYS seem to be developing quality players but Clearwater, TBU, IMG all waste of time.
