Ned is not a leader in any way shape or form
He is a poor excuse for a human being
School districts are on their own.
This really hurts the poor districts like new Haven or Hartford or Danbury. They were poorly run beforehand and even worse now. Those kids will suffer the most. They have parents who are less involved and when you offer them online school they fall even further behind because now the kids are accountable to no one because of their parents. At least when they go to school, someone might give a damn.
This is going to further the education gap by class.
The poor kids in these districts will be a year plus behind because of this.
Ned is to blame because the buck stops at his desk.
He failed these kids.

Should the school districts have control over their student base or not? How does a central state government manage the nuanced issues that arise within each school district?

BTW some cities are larger then all CT.
NYC, LA, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston etc.
so yes state government can manage all of ct students
Ned acted out of fear an passed the buck to each district. He should have mandated every school offer in person school for families to choose. No online only unless we hit extremely high metric. Positive cases are not enough.
Ned did not want to get blamed for a decision so he passed the decision to the district. Wrong choice. BTW, this is also why the legislature should be involved. That would also insulate Ned for political fallout.

Ned is a wussy
Neutered by his successful wife some years ago.
His assistant Josh appears to be his back room buddy
I love when he gets heckled at a public appearance
You can see his weakness

Non Pharmaceutical Interventions
Government mandates & policies do not control a virus
CT is listed at 97% mask compliance. 2nd in the nation.
Virus gonna virus
It doesn’t care what Governor says.

“The problem is," Dr. Anthony Fauci said earlier this week, "that you’re going to see the full brunt of the travel and family gatherings with friends from Thanksgiving, which is going to come right up against the beginning of Christmas and Hannukah, so you might not see the full results until about two and a half weeks from the time of the event."

When Connecticut mandated masks be worn outside on 8/15, they had one of the lowest case rates in the country, at 23 per million
Today it’s 743 per million, a 3130% increase
I know that the Religion of the Masks will always say it would be worse without masks, but uh…how
Mask don’t work very well. Joe Public has figured that out now. It will make the public skeptical over any and all governments mandates.
