I’m glad the girls get to decide if they want to play Hs or not

But some of the coaches though lol

    The girls can coach themselves

How so? Since clubs started to realize that in order to develop good players they had to put quality coaches at the very young age groups over the past five - seven years, most of the freshman have had quality, licensed coaches that teach proper technique and tactics starting from U8, where as those older than them did not get such quality coaching at the younger ages. That's why until recently most HS girls soccer was primarily kick and run and all punting.

It's kick and run and all punting because most of the fields are too narrow dimensionally unless you get to some of these private schools with money.

Pending the club your kid was at they were taught technical ability and playing to feet when they left rec and went to competitive typically 8 or 9 years old. Simple fact is when you put 11 v 11 on a field that's built for 9v9 there's not ample time and space and it becomes chaos and a game of strength and who will head a long throw in.

College is a speed game on a large field.

You watch a world class player like Riquelme or Pirlo and in this country they wouldn't never get a sniff because they aren't track stars. probably why we suck.
