Originally posted by Unregistered View PostYou're right. Not bad. However, rumor has it that the two best ECNL players joined them and didn't have much time off the field. Smart on OC's part, but it's not the purple team doing the winning. It's ok. It's the OC way. Every age group did this because they can. You have to beat the best if you want to be the best. I just feel for the girls who had to sit on the bench to make room for guest players. Congrats on 3-0-0. How did the playoffs work for OC this weekend? Did other age groups make it?

And when they have to compete without them, they struggle. That's the issue.

It's not about confidence it's about exposure. The message is to all the players at other clubs. OC will do what it takes to get on the big stages. They have the resources to do it. Here's the real story. Most clubs first teams are fighting for a spot at the Disney Showcase. That is where OC sends its second teams. If your team isn't good enough to beat OC's second team with 2-3 1st team players, then maybe your first team isn't as good as you think...

Director of Girls at OCYS clearly worried that a team below his ECNL may have talent. How is that for pathetic. Somehow he made it about him.

Well the u15s who are ranked 3rd in the state must not have had any ECNL girls. Didn't work out so well for them. Lost two and managed a tie in their last game to finish last in their group. Roster lists girls who also are on ecnl roster, but didn't play first ecnl games.
Maybe they thought the team could stand on their own, but obviously couldn't.
