Needs to be said, JD is afraid to go against quality Mass teams in ECNL, aka NEFC, MPS, SSS among others. Not sure why this clown gets the power to leave out all the other quality Mass clubs who could actually compete in ECNL. What a disgrace to the game, I hope his field plans leave the Stars bankrupt. What's the point of playing a years worth of games against bad teams like Scorps and Soccer Plus, not to mention the $10,000 worth of travel.

People will catch on and will skip Stars. The coaching staff look like GB and TP look so tired and bitter as opposed to a few years back. Working for JD must be very stressful.

You are spot-on! STARS has gotten so arrogant. We have heard so many stories at how disrespectful and downright nasty they were to players this year. No regard for longevity or loyalty to STARS. Your kid is just a cog in their wheel.

GB and TP have gained so much weight ! Clearly a sign of stress... They are completely nasty to the kids. They are both heartless and rude. GB won't talk to paying parents. Who wants to talk to a team manager about your player's progress? He have favorites and everyone knows it. If you kid isn't one--watch out....

TP is just cruel. Only cares about winning and would cut his mother if he had to.

Newer coaches are very average....you can do better at NEFC or Scorpions.

STARS keep younger siblings around so they can keep ECNL players from moving to another team.... Much favoritism in this Club...

As in life, it will catch up with them and I can't wait to see them fall!

Agreed. It makes no sense for one person to have that much power. What if the other clubs banded together and tried to get this to change? I don't know soccer politics well enough to know if this is any option... Does anyone else have any insight here?

It will be interesting to see if he can pull of these fields in the middle of no where... JD's "...build it an they will come strategy" is already off to a rocky start as he could not get any traction for his expansion plans on the South Shore.

You are right again! He only cares about a select few elite players. He uses the other players in the club to subsidize this elite group. I wonder how he sleeps at night...

There are easier ways to get to play college sports. If your daughter is a good athlete pick another sport with less competition (lacrosse, field hockey).

Why bother with ECNL, save your money (put into a college savings plan). 4 years of ECNL would pay for a year of college.

You could endure 4 years of mental abuse at the hands of JD.

I hate to tell you but if you put the money that you have invested into soccer from grade school, you could pay for college

This has nothing to do with tryouts.... it is merely the state of STARS in this soccer world. It is extremely unfair and aggravating to the rest of us.

It remains to be seen if JD can pull of what he is trying to do... he uses that ECNL card to recruit players and then torture them....
