I'll second that as the proof is in the quartely report that comes out after graduation and what I see has been the trend since I graduated from SJ-most kids goinhg to State u's or State college's. However a factor in determing to go to SJ is depending on what town or city you live in and how the Public HS is.

Marlborough brings back a good amount of players but no true impact player. Shrewsbury, Wachusett and Algonquin bring back an impact player or players but what do the have around them for support. I understand Shrewsbury brings back a significant amount of players from last year, some talented, but nothing on the bench or on JV to help out.
Don't rule out Saint Johns either

No impact player on Marlboro? Where did their Brazilian connection go, e. g. Flavio, Bruno, etc.?

The good thing about Shepherd Hill being in the Mid-Wach (A) league is they won't finish 16-1-1, 14-1-3 , etc... And screw the post season seedings up anymore! Not so much last year but years past they notoriously had a high seed, from beating weak teams in regular season, forcing very good teams to meet in the first or second rounds !

Their schedule is significantly harder this year than in the past. .500 is probably in the cards for them.

              They have 13 committed games vs Mid-Wach ( A) & (B) teams. So 5 non-league games they can schedule.

Shepherd Hill was not a power house in their prior league and have not been for sometime they will struggle in Mid Wach. But once again everyone things best team in CMASS bar none will come out of Mid Wach regardless of the play of D3 or D4 teams of which Sutton, 3 state titles, yes D4 but appealed and denied by MIAA to at least stay D3. Regardless, they would have beaten or tied many Mid Wach teams the past few years and will do so this year as they have added more D1 schools.

No D1 envy here just the idea that being D1 makes you better than D3 or D4 carries no weight anymore so just put ## ## #### ###.

Friendly reminder not to let the facts stand in the way of a fantastic argument.

Despite the obvious truth. I don't see where anyone mentioned that D1 was better than anyone else. It seems like you brought it up so you could talk about Sutton. Feel free to start a "Sutton is the best team in the World" thread. This thread is about which teams will come out on top in the D1 group of which Sutton is not a part. So please bugger off.

Algonquin scrimmages Worcester Academy early in the year. Should be interesting to see how they stack up.

Good luck with that. Sorry but they are a bunch of scrubs and would not make the 3rd string on a D1 team.

I wouldn't put much stock into the result - either way..... Get about 6-8 games into the schedule and you will see which teams are the contenders.
