Generally, for travel events only one coach is compensated by the club (i.e. by the parents). If a coach insists on going to travel events himself and dragging along assistants, the assistants often have to pay for their own travel.

I'm speaking generally here; don't know what goes on at CU.
Someone accused Kevin of stealing coach's per diem. That is a pretty strong accusation so I am asking how he did this. Not trying to get a general example, but a real answer from the person accusing him of stealing.

Still the same players for the most part. Still the same coaches as last year. What’s different this year? Oh they aren’t playing the best teams from Seattle anymore. They aren’t playing the same teams from CO anymore. They aren’t playing the top teams in Showcase events either because how poorly they played last year

        What a bunch of lies.

You have a CU team that loses to crossfire wa last year by a long shot and coincidentally enough the entire crossfire wa team goes to the DA and now CU has turned around because they are beating 3rd rate teams?

What a joke. CU teams aren't even the best in the state yet they claim playing in a severely watered down league that now they are best in USA?

        Since when?

CU is the same as it's always been. Lies and propaganda while trying desperately to avoid anyone that would point out how mediocre they are.

A 'nation' of 70 teams? Without a proper table of standings and don't play 75% of the teams in this laughable 'nation'.

Nearly all their points come from beating downtrodden Idaho, Utah, 3rd tier CO & Washington, FC Portland and other parts of the country's sisters of the poor.

'Standings' in this league speak volumes and it's nothing to sing about, it's disgusting and comical to extrapolate any 'ranking' or 'national' level based results vs the b & c teams they have beaten.

If they were even approaching the level of a top 100 club in the USA they would have commitments to all of these schools today:
            Stanford Pac-12
            Duke ACC
            South Carolina SEC
            North Carolina ACC
            UCLA Pac-12
            Princeton Ivy League
            Texas A&M SEC
            Penn St. Big Ten

            UCF AAC
            Rutgers Big Ten
            Florida SEC
            Florida St. ACC
            Texas Big 12
            Southern California
            Tennessee SEC
            Notre Dame ACC
            Virginia ACC
            South Fla. AAC
            Pepperdine WCC
            Santa Clara WCC
            NC State ACC
            Ohio St. Big Ten
            Georgetown

            They don't and never will.

Your list of schools is quite impressive. Which one does your DD play for? That’s what I thought. The real news is CU is by miles the best girls club in the state. So you can debate all you want where they fall across the country but here in OR you can’t even come up with a close second. Get over it!

Better question Which club teams has your DD team beaten that have players going to those schools the answer is 0.

                Rank O in that nation.

                Its all about the spin.

Daughter plays for CU and maybe a little biased, but I agree this is the best girls club in Oregon. However, we still have the same players as last year, same coach, and train the same, but the difference is not playing Crossfire A team and nor or we playing the top teams from CO. Girls are definitely doing well, but the competition is now way watered down

I have a kid at CU too. Not impressed with the level of competition on most days. The "sell" here is all about playing high school ball. Which is great for friendships but horrible for development. Each player is unique, and will need to chose the route best for them.

If this were truly the case ‘playing HS’, then participating in OYSA leagues would be more cost effective (local travel), national championship series (usys);state cup, FWRL & US National league, FWR & USYS Nats with better opponents, plus you can pick and choose your own showcase tourneys.

What’s the draw in playing very average club team (5 of them) from Or, Wa, Utah & Idaho 2 times a year? In the gutted US Club NW league?

It’s very odd choice if playing in HS is the goal. Weird actually.

Simple. Club advanced the Per Diem's for each coach to Kevin. First trip he pocketed the money and never paid and coaches never said anything because usually per diem is paid after the trip. 2nd event gets another advance and still doesn't pay and when coaches started asking Kevin scrambled. In fact he asked the coaches to set up Venmo to quickly pay, but he didnt have the funds to pay. In my job you get fired for acts like this regarding company funds. Dont beleive me then go ask the coaches

Isn't CU KL's Company? If the Owner is late on distributing reimbursement/per diem but ultimately cashes his employees out for expense, it's annoying for sure but grounds for firing the Owner? Happens all the time in real world for profit business sphere. The Owner doesn't' resign or close his shop because of a delayed reimbursement, it's called business as usual.

All of this based on a anonymous (possibly false) premise on parent blog site for kiddie soccer.

Wrong. He is an employee for THUSC. CU is not a company but a handful of soccer teams under THUSC

And to think we thought THUSC was demonstrating integrity when they sacked Tom A. Apparently not. Meet the new boss, same as the old.
