    ECNL Nationals - Boys

Looks like the state will be well represented at ECNL Nationals on the boys side and each of the four clubs will be there as well.

There are still a few makeups on the schedule that could see one or two not make it but as it stands 8 of the 14 teams heading to Illinois from the Southeast conference are from the state of Florida.

U14 - 1/2 (FESA) - Miramar chose ECNL showcase in San Diego over trying to qualify
    U15 - 2/4 (Miramar and OCYS)
U16 - 3/4 (FKK, FESA and OCYS) - Armada and TBU are in 5th and 6th
    U17 - 2/4 (Miramar and OCYS)

Pretty good showing by Miramar in their first season.

      ECNL boys?? HA??

Heard there were zero college scouts at these games.

      It's DA or no way...

Zero college scouts at these games (Nationals) that are 36 days from happening? Might want to use your time machine on something more productive than sticking your foot in your mouth.

Look then by summer time on commitments from each club.

DA on the boys side did amazing in 2018-2019... Did you check those numbers lately, thats a laugh...

Don't be mad your DA couldn't even make it to conference or top 4.

First year for a ECNL club not bad, take that than existing DA's zero accomplishments.

The '1%ers' will always play DA. Absolutely imperative if you want to be considered for National Team or pool player. That's not an opinion and bringing some obscure example doesn't change the statement. That said, only a few of those kids on any DA roster.... After that....it's pretty much even with decisions being made on coaching/commute/culture/ is HS important etc... Plenty of great ECNL teams that would pound mid to poor DA squads but let's not get silly...there will never be a ECNL u19 team that could compete with a top level DA team....ever.

My son is on Miramar u14 and this is not true. They didn’t qualify because they dropped some easy games. They’re young it happens. Congrats to those who made it.

By the way we will be in Nationals for winning Florida Cup. It’s a nice consolation but overall it was a really competitive season. We will be back next year.

Thread should really be titled "ENPL Nationals" as it is the top teams from both NPL and ECNL tables.

It's not a showcase, you do have to qualify. For ECNL U14s it is top 2 and other age groups the top 4 out of 12 that qualify. For Florida NPL it is the top two out of 14 or 16 that qualify.

Enjoy your moment in the sun on your trip to Fantasyland! Being tops of the tables in boys ECNL is just like having the best record in AAA baseball. Sure, it feels like a great accomplishment, but at the end of the day, it’s still the minor leagues!

DA dad always jumps on other threads. If your kid isn't MLS you're AAA. Calm down.

If ECNL is like AAA the US Club Nationals that the Miramar guy is saying they are going to is like A. It is a big time money grab with wide gaps in talent. My buddy in GA said they had some really lopsided games. In Georgia their third tier league (behind DA and ECNL) sends their champ to the US Club Nationals.

Also, word around our club was that the Miramar U14s wasted a bunch of time and money to go to San Diego to play crappy competition without rescheduling a couple of league ECNL games and, as a result, missed the opportunity to qualify for ENPL Nationals.

Guess perils/shortsightedness of a first year ECNL program. Nothing against the players just bad management.

I’m presuming your kid is on a high powered DA, if not then your kid isn’t playing at the level the ECNL teams have done.

The word around is wrong. How can it be crappy competition when Real Salt Lake ECNL is ranked #2 in the nation? And do your math, even if they win the 2 matches that need to be made up, they’d still be just outside of top 2. You’re probably one of the bitter parents that left because your son was “too good” to ride the bench.
