DPL is about to give Gardens a huge edge on the girls side. Jupiter will struggle, who even bothers with super-Y these days? That was a major selling point for Jupiter to try get girls over this summer, worked? Don’t think so

It's all about the training. DPL, super y, NPL, EPL, FYSA blah blah blah who gives a sh1t? The Gardens 2005 coach doesn't have the experience, knowledge or UEFA A license Jupiter 2005 has. Again, ITS ALL ABOUT THE TRAINING!!!!

Folks does it really matter if your kid plays for Gardens or Jupiter? Let them play for the club where they will be most comfortable, where the parent thinks they will get the best training.
A lot of the BS I read on here is because 1 kid is unhappy with their current club, wants to make a switch but realizes that if they don't bring a bunch of their teammates over the team they might be going to will probably suck worse than their existing team! While a license is great, some kids could get a better experience or development from a coach without a higher level license. Both programs have their positives and negatives, you just need to find the one that suits your kid and situation the best. If at the end of the day it means your kid has to play with a bunch of unproven girls, so be it!

True, both clubs started as recreation clubs first but both are trying to make inroads into the competitive market. There are good players at both clubs and it would probably make sense to merge or one club takeover the other because the population density in Palm Beach is not as robust as in South of Boca hence the reason for the lack of good quality players to fill multiple teams at the various levels.

Poster is exactly right. What I would add is....If your kid is good enough now to play DA or ECNL take them to tryout. If your kid is not good enough to play DA or ECNL now, do you really think the club that you have been with for the last several seasons all of a sudden has some magic plan to make your kid better because there is a new league? That's just silly. Most of these players have been at Gardens since U10. Why are they not ready for DA or ECNL today??? Gardens has the same coaches they have had for a few years. If they couldn't get your kid ready for the next level in the last 4-5 years you've been there, what makes you think a new league is going to change that?

Over half the kids on our Gardens U13 DA team are not ready for DA.
Putting kids where they don’t belong does not benefit them or the ones that do belong.

What if your kid wants to play HS ball?
It is very possible that there are some talented kids but are not mentally ready for the next step and commitment?

Absolutely agree! And now add an ECNL program to the mix and it becomes even more watered down.
