With cases ramping back up all over schools are worried about being able to open after New Year's. I bet like with the fall, D3 conferences and small D1 conferences do the same. Big Hoops will remain.

The NCAA will cease to exist if they lose March madness again

There will be bowl games and the college football playoffs. There will be basketball March madness. That’s all colleges care about

Spring sports won’t be cancelled. They’ll start later and have limited OOC games, but by the end of spring semester things will be finally returning to normal.

I think spring has a shot. Any winter sport outside of basket has no shot and basketball will only be played at the big programs (but with no fans it's not the same; imagine Cameron at Duke with no fans?). I doubt schools like Marist play basketball but UCONN would. Forget D2 and D3.

Glad to see the country preparing to do all the same things that worked so well, all over again.

It never went down enough in the first place, especially in red states, then too many rushed to re-open. People started slacking. Health experts have warned about this for months but governors, especially in the midwest, didn't listen. Even after Trump became seriously ill he continued to claim it's not a big deal - actually called it a blessing at one point. What the actual f uck? He held maskless rallies before the election and now that he's lost he isn't doing a dam thing to help Americans. He'll golf away until the inauguration and will probably be a no show.

Right but no one got sick from all of that rioting and looting that went on for MONTHS...and let’s remember CT is a blue state and we have been wearing masks and our numbers are increasing and we are in the red.
Whatever makes you sleep at night...

The protests didn't contribute to case increase....look it up, it's been studied across multipel cities.

We're going up because people went on vacation in August, restaurants bars and gyms were allowed to open more, people are inside more with the weather and school, business started having more workers come in to offices (mine just had to shut down again). Lots of people, especially HS kids, had Halloween parties. It takes a while for cases to start building up then BOOM up it goes. Scientists and public health experts predicted all of this. At least here in CT the base is starting much lower and good mask compliance will help.

But we’re wearing the almighty masks right? Shouldn’t they be working?

80% don’t wear mask properly when they do wear them and most don’t wear them when they are supposed to. While dining out you should have a mask on at all times
