They have a ton of players on scholarship. It was the only way they could field teams with full rosters. Girls side is highly subsidized as well. Bottom line is that there isn’t lot of money being made over there, the juice might not be worth the squeeze long term. Nobody knows what’s going on with our economy and the time could come that 3k soccer clubs just aren’t worth it if there are any more unforeseen closures.

That wasn't the point. The point was whether they will survive due to the financial stress that the parent club is in. With them still having to rent fields left and right and with the scholarships that they hand out, are they breaking even locally or requiring support from the parent club? Because if they need money from the parent club to survive, they may not be around much longer.

susa has been in business how long? 13 years I think?

Go ask Moussa how business was the first few years. He will tell you he was not sure if susa would survive but he kept working and building the club.

FACT is the success of barca is great for LI as well as the other clubs. It brings the competition up all around from the other clubs while helping to keep the prices low/competitive for LI families.

If SUSA wanted to, they have deep enough pockets to swoop in and buy the managing rights of the Barca NY franchise. Guess what, they thought Albertson was a more valuable asset.

well the FACT that susa has reached out to just about every single local town club on LI and offered bribes to each club president and/or coaches to bring the teams over to susa totally puts your statement in the sh-ter! Susa would buy barcany in a heartbeat!!!!
