I see the issue as “should a local soccer club choose
to act contrary to a state policy, for the benefit of a couple teams, even if it means the state will be less trusting of soccer clubs when they ask for revised policies that will allow the vast majority of people to return to play earlier”? The soccer orgs put a lot of effort into getting the return to play guidelines adopted, and presumably told the state their members would live by them. Shouldn’t expect the state to be particularly receptive the next time they come asking.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostBecause technically it wasn’t locked down. You could go to Hawaii but you were legally required to quarantine - and they checked! Same thing happening in NY right now. They can go to Jersey but have to quarantine when they get back. Makes the trip pointless. Right now no one is requiring any quarantine in AZ and it’s only advised upon return. Inslee can change that to required if he sees fit to and the trips likely will be off.

As for Trump's operation warp speed? Ironic that Pfizer, who is likely to be the one to the market first didn't take government money. Go ahead and give Trump credit if you'd like. He's all about the participation trophy mentality. Maybe after you give him his trophy you can take him to McDonalds for an ice cream cone.

Yeah they may not have taken the money upfront but they were part of warp speed as a agreement to buy a specific amount for a set price was already set.
