Nonsense. Biggest complaint coming from parents right now is the lack of meaningful play and training. Boys want more and coaches seem indifferent. One player already left for FSA because of it. Could be more if they don’t get their act together. If you are going to spend that much then let’s play!!!

If you get past that the best boys in our tiny state will choose one of two in state DA programs. You then have several options for DA with neighboring NY. After you get by these options you have several quality EDP and NPL options with local clubs. Finally, if you decide ECNL is for you then FSA is a better option. Add to all this the CFC branch teams do not send their best players to the United teams. Unlike the girls it is not viewed as a step up. In several cases the NPL teams are better, more convenient and less expensive. When you factor all these things Boys ECNL is an absolute loser. Look how bad their teams are. People are not going to tolerate doing that much traveling, spending that much money to play on a bad team.
I think what you will eventually see is that while players on branch teams and NPL might in fact be more talented, if no one is there to see them, they won’t get recruited. It has already happened on the girls side. Limited budgets mean one stop shopping so they go to ECNL and GDA events. Kids in the NPL and EDP leagues get missed. Good players.

There is a difference on the boys side with so many DA programs in the region, but there is room for the second league and boys college budgets are tighter even than the girls. The NPL league kids will be the ones not recruited or will have a harder time. You are going to see weaker players from DA and ECNL getting recruited over the top NPL leagues. Not saying it’s right but it’s a reality. We have a daughter and a son. Girls travel from everywhere to practice. Boys complain if it isn’t in their backyard. Lazy lazy lazy and will then wonder why they don’t get recruited.

Play another song pianoman. Lol. No one needs lights when they have indoor and outdoor on the same site. And no one needs to be outdoors when the indoor space is as large as outdoor training areas. So dumb.

Your comment is nonsense bc the teams train 3 times a week. Even in the winter. I call BS on this post. So dumb it’s laughable.

Again, nonsense. ECNL and DA are certainly great ways to get recruited. Players who are proactive and are communicating with colleges will get recruited wherever they are. Much easier at top events and showcases for sure but plenty of good players getting recruited outside of these two leagues. lot of parents within CFC branches starting to realize this and not drinking the ECNL koolaid (on the boys side, lot of koolaid still flowing on girls side). Parents are starting to figure out that they don’t need to spend More money to play for underage United teams. Wolves and Valley Boys flat out refusing to play for United. Have no interest in the travel or increased costs. Add in the fact that CFC have lost Chelsea Piers, West and Real they now have limited branches. City and Samba not contributing anything and Sound is about as useless. I do not see ECNL Boys getting better next year. Gap will widen and people not buying.

Just wait. That’s what they said last year. We were lucky to get two practices in a week. Lucky

No BS, sorry. Boys team now scrambling to get teams into indoor league play and tournaments. Reaction from parents. If you have facility, then use it. Parents being very vocal right now, better listen.

Definitely the new facility where if the weather is nice, they can decide last minute to go outside. Not an option at OW since outdoor and indoor are nowhere near each other. I know because my kid used to play there. And if you are training outdoors on plowed fields in 20 degree weather it’s only bc the indoor place is being rented to outside groups to make money. OW is a cheap bunch.
It sure is, which is why I thought it would fit CFCU ECNL Boys teams well. I bet they could go about .500 there. Get over yourself. Your kid got cut from OW, and CFCU Boys ECNL was the best place he could make after that? I guess your kid isn't that good.

No fields last year were there? Now there are 2. If you are unhappy just leave. You won't be missed.

Hews flash, you do not need boys ECNL to get recruited. If you are relying on a league name for your kid to make a college roster, then he won't. If he can't stand on his own and flat out play, he will be out of luck. Boys ECNL ain't helping anyone ... heck, DA barely does. Sorry, move to Brazil or England and play for a local team there and your kid will have a better shot of getting money from a D1 school here (and it will be far cheaper to play for the next several years). Boys ECNL isn't helping kids get recruited much, and certainly not at CFCU (See FSA girls ECNL).
