Look at the New England hockey programs and you see the exact same thing. Since my kid started playing around 12 years ago there have been 4/5 'leagues'. All the same teams, just changing names to remove one club here or there.

Each team that makes it our of Regionals and opts to go to Nationals will get a $10k payment from NEP.

Who decided that? Is it coming out of the back handers SC receives from his mates at GPS?

SC is a decent guy. He has always been perceived as someone that doesn’t always stand up to the antics of some clubs, particularly GPS. I think he still plays with/for them. The league has grown massively and it needs to adopt a more transparent way of doing things. If SC wants to stay at the helm he needs to go full time, or the league needs to add full time administrators.

SC gages league success based on numbers alone. He must realize that the league totally turned its back on its original mission, 2/3 years ago. As long as his masters are happy he’ll continue to ignore the huge failings of the past years.

He has an ego the size of MA, he will not recognize any failure, or need to re-boot.

SC is an absolute clown, he has his favorites and if you’re not GPS NEFC he talks to you like sh*t, because he knows the NEP are the only show in town. Zero idea on how to treat people.

The whole business model has gone down the pan, same as club soccer in NE, not about development anymore it’s all about the results and what team you’re associated with.

Let’s see if the EDP league gains traction

They have a massive cash stockpile. Last year each team got $1,000, but most clubs kept it. I hope the teams get it this time!

Another thing that never got voted on. After every ‘league’ meeting SC pulls together a small group to make unilateral decisions. The league is so badly run it’s amazing we haven’t seen a mutiny of some kind.

We joined a bigger club so we could play in the NEP this year. Not a slight difference in the level of play we experienced within the NSL. Same refs, screaming coaches and poor fields. The propaganda and sheer lies about how ‘superior’ this league is are complete nonsense.

What division? I have had kids play in both over the years, and the NEP premiership division is head and shoulders above anything in NSL, at least on the girls side. Now once you get lower NEP divisions, especially League 1, all bets are off. Crappy teams filled with travel players.

You’re not that naive are you? Who was selling you a league?

If your kid is on a lower team at a big club, then they will be placed in a lower NEP division. If they are playing in Premiership or upper Championship divisions, the level is better than NSL.

NEP is essentially a majority of players that just moved over from NSL to NEP. Big box clubs meant some better facilities and some more teams to play against. New uniforms and a higher price tag and That’s it. There’s no magic in it. More people shop at Walmart than mom and pops. May or may not be better. I’m guessing that the way that you trash the so-called lower level players in the league, you feel that you have something to prove about your own kid’s ability. Players that are the real deal, don’t feel the need to compare their talents to the majority of players ( travel players).
