Not the OP, but I was at the meeting. Hearing grown men threaten each other and verbally abuse others is embarrassing. 75% of the members are tired of the same old crap.
Agreed. But whats going to replace it?
NPL may be “closed” but its far more open than DA ot ECNL

As long as GPS and NEFC stay, the rest will follow

Don't forget about Stars; more teams in there than anyone else.

SC brags at how ‘ great ‘ the NEP has become. Unless he stands up to bullies and protects the integrity of the league, along with the smaller clubs, a mutiny will soon ensue.

Sounds alittle like ecnl ,a couple of clubs dictate who’s allowed to play

Take your head out of the sand, that is how every league is.

SC reminds everyone how great his league is. The league has done well but unless he grows a backbone things will turn pretty quickly.

SC doesn’t run the league, never has. GPS, followed by 2/3 others dictate 90% of the leagues direction.

How about you give us your top 5 issues that make you so concerned?

Truth is, as parents, many of us have no idea what you are talking about. I’d actually be interested in hearing the overall problems/issues that surround the league, but posts like this don’t really help.

Why not start with the fact that really poor teams stay in the NPL, just because.....

The league that is ‘ run by the clubs ‘ hasn’t voted on a single issue for years. Behind the scenes agendas by 2-3 clubs is really how things are decided. Tryout chaos and different rules for different clubs. Grown men threatening and swearing at each other, simply because they catch each other cheating. Zero minimum standards policed for every new club that has been allowed in, just because they agree to wear the same colors.

NEP has grown by incredible margins over the past 4-5 years. The structure and leadership within the league has not moved one inch. Here lies the problem. SC has a full time job yet still runs a league that hosts over 1,000 teams. How is that possible and when will clubs demand a change?
