Did FO make his players run after the game? NEFC should have scored more! FO should stop coaching this group!

no, the Blazer boys did not have to run.

NEFC should have scored more...left several other chances on the field. The Blazers lone goal was consolation with about ten minutes left.

wouldn't agree with that... at the last state cup, they still won in the U13,16,17 and 19 brackets...

I wouldn't look too much into the scores at least at the U14 level. The two Connecticut teams rescheduled their game for the night before and came into their games against MPS fresh and rested while MPS and the Blazers played each other in another GREAT matchup between the two teams. So those scores are VERY MUCH misleading. Both MA teams were playing on tired legs and it shows with the score.

Not sure why Region1 coordinators allowed this to happen as it changed the complexity of those two games.

Although field availability is a factor , I think its rediculous that some teams have to play 2 games in one day yet others get to make changes. At this level of play it makes a HUGE difference playing 2 games in one day. At a minimum, the league should ensure that both teams playing in the afternoon both played in the morning so that it is a level playing field. Once again common sense seems to be a missing criteria when it comes to scheduling.

Common sense might also be used when formulatiing a competition level that doesn't even consider two full games in one day.

But that's not what teams have signed on to. The system has stretched , watered down and isolated players into groups that now feel that compettitve matches have to be hours away.

That's the " free market " that so many parents desire that has been created. Hours and hours on the road to" elite " play.

Field availability is a huge factor before spring, and in the early weeks of spring. Games pretty much have to be played on turf. Did you see how many Region 1 games were played on that date, in one location?
