CFC got kicked out of STAMFORD and Fairfield County has no interest in the drive to Bethany for programming they can get locally. Numbers at CFC are at all time lows. This is calm before the GPS Storm.

I could’ve sworn I just picked my kid up from a CFC practice in Stamford tonight.

Guess if you call 75 players a low turnout.

Two current FSA ECNL 06 kids coming over to CFC after season. Already done, just not publicized to protect kid and family for rest of Spring season. You don't know what you don’t know. Been happening in Long Island and New Jersey for years, the best want to come together as parents understand more looks and opportunities for strong teams.

                1) outside players have also been attending practices
                2) unless you were keeping track how would you know who was outside vs inside or how many only came to one, two or all three?

You can have them ..... nothing but kickballers on that team who do not understand the game.

Maybe they weren’t the same 45 each night?

CFC basher is grasping at straws.

Most likely they were not - vacation week, some kids couldn't make all nights or decided to drop out...they only need 22-24 players x 2 (too many but you know CFC will take that many) and at least half of both rosters will be current CFC players who didn't need to attend all because they're well known to CFC. And really, how would that poster know who came from where unless he was CFC management? If a parent was tracking/scouting who was there that's nuts, but I stopped being surprised at some soccer parents any longer.

Is anyone really questioning CFC getting big numbers for United tryouts? Of course they did.

If you think your kid has what it takes to play college soccer, CFCU is the gold standard in CT. I don't anyone actually disputes this.

As far as ECNL is concerned, they likely have 12 CFC kids from across the branch network penciled in for spots. Then figure a few known players from FSA, OW or that were in the regional ODP pool. There may be a random kid from Ginga etc that impresses at tryouts and you quickly reach your 18 to 20. The next 18 get offered NPL spots of which some will try their hand at cracking FSA's ECNL roster. Its the same formula every year.

I did see all 3 nights. No way there were more than 50 total who tried out. There was some really good talent there. No real weak players at all. the encl1 team should be very good. But let’s face it it isn’t the same as it used to be. Almost no non CFC players and yes you can tell when every kid is wearing a cfc practice shirt. There are just too many premier teams around now. And npl/encl 2 isn’t the draw it used to be with other clubs maturing and having some Decent older age teams in either npl or edp. The CFC encl2 team is basically filled out with anyone who showed up at tryouts.
