Are you freaking kidding me? Is the standard being set by Iona, Sacred Heart, and CCSU?!?? What about Stanford, Wake Forest, Duke, Maryland, UNC? Go down the line of competitive schools and see where those three land.

A quality program like CFC, OW, and FSA (insert sarcasm) should be able to produce players of the caliber who can compete at the highest collegiate level, right? After all, if my kid was a National Merit Scholar, he/she should be able to get into schools greater than Tunxis! I’m sure that all of you would agree.

Follow your club coach to college....for what? Seems a bit soft to me!

There is a fit for every player on ECNL, DA and NPL teams People make choices on size of school, cost of attendance and location. CFC has players going to Quinnipiac, Sacred Heart and Iona but also Michigan and Ohio state and Georgetown.

Some of the kids going to big schools don't play the way they did several years ago

                      Rush Central

Anyone know where the Central branch practices and plays their home games?? Heard they were booted from Taft and JS is too damn cheap to explore a more permanent option for the club. It’s too bad as two of their boys teams (04 and 09) have quite a bit of talent that will likely jump ship.

Rush Central uses several local fields after they lost access to Taft. The 2004 Boys are one of the better teams in the state. CFC went after several of their players last year but nothing materialized. Mostly because CFC could not offer anything better. FSA is only real possibility from a soccer standpoint. I don’t think that will happen just because FSA is so damn expensive. The 2009 team is also a strong group of boys. The parents of that group could jump ship and they watched older groups go. It will be interesting if Rush hold on to them. It’s the difference between a turnaround and a sinking ship...

Look at the Trolls coming in hard. Rush has surprised a lot of clubs these past year. Their boys teams are very strong and girls side is possibly stronger then boys. A lot of their teams are top ranked on GotSoccer.

Boys 04 is no longer at Central, they are playing with the Elite team. They train out of Trumbull. Don't know much about the Boys 09.

Does Yankee have younger girls teams? We are in Shelton and not very impressed with the Daddy coaches or the random english guy that shows up.

They haven't for a few years now. In last gasps after their last good team graduates. Try CFC, revolution and Ginga
