That is because they are all in State Cup. This tournament is for all the teams that are out of State Cup, Division 1-2-3 teams that are looking for a local end of year tournament, younger ages, or teams preparing for Disney who want to work on things 2 weeks prior so they can be prepared to play top competition at Disney.

At this time of year you can have a scimmage with all those b and c teams for FREE.

Our team is going to Disney so why would we pay for Sting tournament? We can get scrimmages with local teams and prepare with just referee costs

Why would Sunrise lower there tournament fee?

I agree with the poster who said there are cheaper ways to get a couple practice games in for Disney. Yet another club fundraiser disguised as a competitive tournament.

However, all that being said ... the fields were good, refs were ok, tournament reasonably well organized...

just baffling to me why clubs don't take more advantage of friendly matches difficult and save the parents some money ...

                        great tournament, well run
                        we got many games.
easy to park without the craziness of big tournaments and the crowd

                        refs were fine

Arguments against older opponents, a fight was about to break out, and no field marshals around to help out. This is a great tournament. People could have gotten hurt if the referees did not get involved.

I don't know what "arguments against older opponents .." means but let me guess your team played up and you thought the older team was pushing around the little guys and the ref not giving them calls .... correct?

when you play up you better be ready to see your kid tossed around .... if you don't want that, don't play up. most teams shouldn't.

if you ever have a chance to get international experience, do it. your opinion of what should and should not be called will change. international play is a lot more physical than what we have here.

Good tournament. Refs let the kids play and be physical. From my prospective, it was good for my U12 son to play 11 v 11 to get used to the physicality of jumping an age group nexte season at U14.
