It does make sense to start the u17, u18, and u19 game times earlier at 8am to avoid prom conflicts. There has to be a field somewhere to put them at. Also, start the tournament earlier for to avoid conflicts, especially for graduation.

for goodness sake; if your team is still in it - call your coach or team manager and ask if they have emails that game times are changing for U18g. If not, then don't worry about it.

They scheduled the round of 16 at 1pm and 3pm. Some teams had as few as 8 players on the field due to conflicts. Too little, too late

Round of 16 was also a testing date which is a bigger conflict than school dances

If you're a senior still testing this last in the year, you probably shouldn't be going to college.

Also, Round of 16 isn't as important as Final Four/Finals. It's also a lot easier to change these games since less teams will be impacted.

Sorry FYSA, that is completely wrong and nobody is buying it. First, you can plan around testing dates. Unlike prom and graduation, there are many test dates and options. Second, only a few U18s would be taking tests at this point, mostly those playing up.

Schedule around prom times, meaning Saturday evening, for the older age groups for this time of year. It really is very simple.

And schedule around graduation ceremonies for final four. With less teams in u18 they could have moved the rounds up earlier and could have been done by now. Instead you have teams not playing with their full squads.

The problem is if you push it a month or two earlier, than you run into prom conflicts. I would recommend doing it in the fall.

How about Friday night games and Sunday finals later in the afternoon. This way Saturday is off and gives attending prom or other events can make the finals if they are to advance. Bingo
