The state of US Soccer is a disgrace, multiple leagues in one area, parents forced to drive hundreds of miles for a game they could get 10 minutes away but are told their league is 'better' than the one they are not in. Forced into hotels that inflate prices etc. Tournaments charging over $1000 for 3 games on poor quality fields with young inexperienced refs. All involved should hang their head in shame.

College coaches could fix it in a heartbeat by refusing to go to showcases that behave this way. But they may be in on the corruption. Who knows.

all this will be coming to a head in the next few years...with the "me to" era and latest college bribing issue....everything is now out in the open...cant get away with anything anymore. wait until all the local fire chiefs will not be allowed to use there fancy $100k SUVs for personal use anymore with free gas!!!!!!!

Around me, the "free gas" costs hauling yourself out of bed everytime the call comes at 3AM to help a neighbor out for no pay. Why don't you put out your own fire next time and save on the gas money you ingrate.

The tournaments make deals with travel angencys and require teams to use the sanctioned hotels. below is the link for all accepted teams in the EDP Spring Cup...The coaches/club have no say regarding the hotels to be used....so please stop writing whatever BS pops into your head.....IDIOT.

So, yes, it is your club/admin's fault. You don't always have to stay 30+ miles away. You have to play the system, like everything.

B) LODGING
A requirement for acceptance for out-of-area teams is that your team utilizes sanctioned tournament
lodging through Titan Lodging.
