Some enterprising folks at the ECNL thought “Why not have all the ECNL teams add their B teams to a new league and we can double our fees.”
Current ECNL remains the same.
Current NPL turns into ECRL (or ECNL 2)
State teams/ branches will be playing NPL.
It’s going to have to be a very big club to run 3 teams. I can’ti imagine FSA or CFC running their third teams in current NPL leagues and being successful.

So now more players can say they are on an ECNL team. Doesn’t sound like being on an ECNL Team is going to be as elite anymore. How will colleges distinguish which ECNL team players are on when the players can just put on their resume ECNL?

I am guessing there will be ECRL showcases and whatnot.

For clubs that already have NPL teams eg here in the Northeast its just a rebranding of those teams under the ECNL banner. Only the biggest of clubs could have ECNL, ECRL, NPLand others teams (state). FSA will only be running 3 levels, CFCU two.
