Calling AL a buffoon is a bit harsh. My kid trained with him and played for one of his teams a couple of years ago....the guy is crazy passionate about the game and the kids. At times he gets overexcited for sure, but better that than having some guy who is just mailing it in.....and we know that there are plenty of those types out there. My experience was mostly positive and my kid did get better under his tutelage. I could understand however how some may find him a bit overbearing.

CFC U17 team has more wins than all of the FSA ECNL teams combined.
        Pretty pathetic.

                Final Stats:

                U14
                CFC 10-6-3 - 33 points
                FSA 3-10-6 - 15 points

                U16
                CFC 2-10-2 - 8 points
                FSA 1-9-2 - 5 points

                U18
                CFC 9-4-1 - 28 points
                FSA 2-10-1 - 7 points

                Overall U14-U16-U18:
                CFC 21-20-6 - 69 points
                FSA 6-29-9 - 27 points

Those CFC teams are 42 points better than those FSA teams. Talk about disproving that claim.
6 wins total for FSA with those “better” teams.
9 wins total for FSA if you add in the other two “worst” teams.

9 total wins for an entire club is an embarrassment.

It was a very tough year for ECNL. As a parent, I don't think anyone is going to dispute that. The guy claiming a few of the FSA teams are better is clearly doing it to get under your skin and it's clearly working! No reasonable person would conclude that FSA is better at anything other than having nice fields and a snack bar!

CFC only has one more year left with their dream team. Once they depart the differences could be razor thin. The 2001 and 2002 groups at CFC have been highly successful over the past few years. That's not the norm for CT ECNL teams.

It was just another year for almost every single FSA ECNL team .... same as all of the years before.

The 2004 CFC team will be just as good as the 01-02 teams. They will keep the tradition of kicking FSA butt over and over. We dominated them this year!

You must be a CFC U16 parent. Its the only team that's done. Stats aren't final yet. FSA has yet to play two of the weakest clubs in the NE.
