Majority of kids in the northeast PLAY COLLEGE in the northeast or at a minimum on the east coast. No need to go farther than new jersey. D1 schools like BC,BU, UConn etc will not get many if any of the top recruits

Are you saying that the coaches don't pick the players? That is NOT speculation.
However, agree with the rest of your speculation.
Doesn't matter, it's a showcase that doesn't have much weight in the overall record. Why not experiment?

D3 is just that.Not at same level as D1 play ,academics at D1 are highly regarded as well and those kids also do great things .

For most soccer families, especially girls, a top college is the goal not necessarily top college ball. There's just some TS nuts who think playing top D3 is a Shakespearian tragedy. Since most players will stay within a 4-5 hour radius from home there aren't many top soccer programs to go to anyway. Realistically the area only turns out a few top players a year that can hang in the better conferences.
