Different poster, but Tiebreakers, by definition, do not come into effect until the end of regulation. Weather that is a game or a season. Up until that point the teams are considered "Tied"

You could say, "If the season were to end today, Team A has the tiebreaker", but because the season doesn't actually end today, the tie-breaker doesn't apply. They are tied.

This a u11 argument not u15. Let it go. It is dumb.

East finishes behind SUSA, 2nd in NE. Qualifies for ECNL Championship in San Diego.

West finishes 6th in NE. No Championship, but gets to travel all the way to San Diego to play in front of Division 3 coaches in the North America Cup. Tough break because they were in it until the end and ended up with 9 wins out of 14 games. Loss to PDA last weekend was the difference between making it and sitting on the outside.

They actually beat PDA Blue which was quite the accomplishment, but could only tie the PDA White team. That was the killer. If they had beaten the weaker PDA team they’d be in Champions League.

Not much difference between the top 7 in the Northeast. All of those teams beat and lost to one another. Tons of one goal games and ties. None were really dominant or weak.

The top seed SUSA lost to both PDA White and Stars West, who both didn't qualify for Champions League.

NE ECNL is a good conference. Lots of competitive teams and will be even stronger next year. Top 7 teams are all within a few points and the top spots are 2 and 3 way ties that had to use tie breakers for final placement. West cost event is a hassle for east coast teams any way you slice it. PDA showcase rocks with lots of coaches and so much closer. If ECNL would get rid of the cross country events for all these teams on both coasts, league would be even better.

And, like most leagues, the bottom is trash. You drive a long way to experience that trash...

WC should be much stronger next year assuming they attract some of the NYCFC strong players that want to stay at that location and play on the ecnl team. Hope so. That facility is the best.

So you keep saying, but I'd like to understand how ecnl league travel is really all that much different from DA, and in some cases, NPL travel. Playing Bucks and Continental is really no different than playing the bottom DA or NPL teams.

ECNL--this spring, traveled to Long Island, Maryland and NJ. Tournaments in Arizona and NJ, championships in California.

DA--this spring traveled to Long Island, Rochester and Westchester. Tournaments in Florida, Denver and playoffs in California.

NPL -- OK, you didn't have to travel much in season, more for tournaments. Gotcha. But please tell me that playing Aztecs and Seacoast and consistently getting yout *****es kicked by Select is worth what you pay? You traveled to Richmond and Florida to play other middling teams. YOU'RE NOT STILL THINKING THIS IS AN OPTION FOR TOP PLAYERS, ARE YOU?

There's not much trash. It's hard to have 15 equal teams in a league. Actually that's probably close to impossible to ask of any age, any league, in any sport. As far as quality goes this is a really good league/conference to play in relative to any other we are aware of.

And the regular season travel really isn't that bad at this age group and above. Half the games are home, half away, alternate locations every other year. So 7-8 away games and even some of the away games are right in MA and CT. It is also only for a few months out of the year. We don't mind it.

I guess a lot of people hate it though because it seems to be a big complaint on this forum.

Bottom two teams at U15 had 1 win between them. Pretty trash. Otherwise, agree the league is pretty competitive, even at the lower tier (Maryland United, FC Bucks).

Tell me EPL isn't trash at the bottom of the table, yet those players still make millions. Huddersfield has a -54 goal differential. Fulham has a -47. Top player on Huddersfield earned 2.8 million in salary last year. Call them trash if you want, but the players are laughing all the way to the bank with a 3-7-28 record.

Is your kid developing? Is she having fun? Is she on the radar of a college program she is interested in? Then it sounds like the ECNL league, clubs, and coaches did their jobs.

As the saying goes, "The world needs ditch diggers too". FSA, Continental, and World Class happen to be those teams in this league.
