The high end of it is a product of the free market. Luxury product that you buy is you can afford it and you want it. If you can't or dont want it, you can skip it. No requirement to participate. No requirement to pay another's child. It is like a fancy car that the market will provide to you if you want it but you are not fundamentally deprived if you don't have one.
I though we were trying to stay in the soccer world-now you want to go back out to the real world
make up your mind

Competitive youth soccer is a fine example of a free market product. All soccer. Buy it or dont.

Yes you are, just look at your post. All theoretical, but not practical. When was the last time you walked a manufacturing plant and spoke with the people that work there? When was the last time you had a real conversation with a parent trying to make ends meet on less than $30k a year? Do not lie, you have not. People that have do not talk like you do and do not have time to post on TS in the middle of the afternoon. These people are all around, and yet you are blind. Do not label me as socialist. I am as capitalistic as they come. Not everyone is going to be an entrepreneur. But does that mean never get a raise and struggle forever? Yes, you are bubble boy.

My club does not do that. If your does, and you object, you should find a different club.

It would be better if you dropped your assumptions, projections and ramblings and just concentrated on specifics.
It is practical.
This is a soccer board. So let's connect the dots. Twenty years ago, what was the GDP of the Youth Soccer Industry compared to today ? How much " new income" has been generated by that difference ? How much new revenue has entered the revenue stream, to be broken up and distributed to organizations clubs, Administrators, Referees, hotels, eateries , etc etc. How many tax dollars have been contributed from those earnings?

Do you now understand my point when I stated that you can arrange a transfer of wealth from those that have it ?

one of 2 things possible

1-your club doesnt have an "A" team (A ,DAP, ECNL)
or
2- you have no idea what is going on at your club my guess is #2

how much of that $$$ goes back in the form of scholarships both at the youth level and college?
certainly not 1 for 1 but a certain % does return

That's irrelevant. I am speaking of the opportunity to make income dollars from the dramatic increase in soccer participation over the past twenty years. Any other benefits or consequences are a different conversation. in reality, hoping for a scholarship or other financial advantage return from soccer is very low on the scale compared to some other opportunities.

Are you paying attention out there? There is club after club hawking their wares.

Go out and find one to your liking. Start the "capitalist crushers" to serve that deprived market that wants to escape those old fashioned socialist youth soccer club. Take your ball and go home. No one cares. It is kid soccer and it is a free market.
