John Kokkoris f*cks over Franklin Square Soccer Club.

The sad thing is small clubs like FSR that do not have soccer educated BOD members or even members that have kids playing travel soccer within the club are making decisions for its members. I dont believe they have a BOD member with a USSF License of any level and John has a DOC and they are giving him the rules to run his program by. It is like the cart leading the horse.
I think this is a good thing. There are way to may legitimate coaches/trainers that think they can run a business.

Training kids should be the responsibility of TRAINORS. Running a business should be the responsibility of BUSINESS MEN (or WOMAN).

I dont understand your point here. Part of the problem is that volunteer BOD members make decisions and have little or no qualifications and usually have an agenda of their own.

what is there agenda if they are "volunteers"? (they obviously not getting paid). unless of course susa comes along and offers a board member an offer they can't refuse.

They have an interest in a training company or a "friend" who is a trainer they want to get more business for. John was told that if he didnt like how the FSRSC was running things then he should find another club to work for, so thats what he did. 90% of the players that he coached at FSRSC he attracted them through his social media posts or they were opponents that wanted to change teams and play for his teams. So I question, how did he F*ck over the club? AS every other job in America, if you arent valued and respected for your time and effort you find an employer that does.

BOD members that make training decisions should have some soccer background or some type of qualifications, not just be a team parent or average volunteer. They should at least have a child in the program so that they have a vested interest in the decisions they are making.

That's a half truth, lets not make John into a victim. Franklin Square offered him fields at non-for-profit costs for his for-profit company. If you don't think that's a big deal then go have a conversation with a Barca parent, coach, or administrator. Those Franklin Square fields were the foundation of that program. It enabled him to keep the fees low. Now speaking about fees, those fees were paid primarily by families that were siphoned through FS intramural's. Did he attract outside players, absolutely, but he had a built in player base from the town.

Not no more. John has now dipped his toes into the deep end with the big boys. Sweet-heart deals are hard to come by especially for a guy whose oldest team was 2010's. Oh yeah, he also lost his best player on his best team. For the kid's sake, lets hope he does better then he has done at some of his other stops.

Clubs like Hota and GCP have been eating off of the intramural program for years. The fact that they were able to stay local and get excellent training and coaching is a plus for those families. The fields were mainly used to train the club's travel teams and offered supplemental training to the intramural players. The club collected a fee from Johan for his training program for the use of the fields if I am correct.

Johan has also trained teams in the 01,02,03,05,07 and 09 age groups in addition to the 2010 age groups in Franklin Sq that that statement is completely false.

If Johan actually had to pay the club to train teams then none of this should be a problem for anyone. Johan was a customer of the club, not an employee. And a customer has every right to move to a different vendor if they aren't happy.

You have it all wrong but that’s alright, I didn’t expect much.

He didnt pay the club anything to have the right to train there.
