All these people speculating about, and hating on NJ Fire. All clueless people who couldn’t fathom what it means to be a part of this club, and the heart and discipline required to compete at this level.

Hey soccer mom, what is NJFire actually? Are they a club? Do they have teams? Is your kid on NJ Fire full time? Or are they just brokering talented kids to make it look like they are a quality club. I know you know the answer and so do the rest of us. Stop acting like Fire ls the sainted sisterhood of soccer development in NJ. Its a business run by a salesmen.

NJ Fire is a way of leaving. You will never understand . Is much more than youth soccer.
Is the light in the dark.
You will never get it

I don't recall dts claiming that their select teams were anything other than select. It's up to the parents to understand what that means.
nj fire should of course keep running their select program. What they shouldn't do is continue to market their select teams (which aren't identified clearly-they should be labeled as nj fire summer select in tournaments) as their ACTUAL rosters. People here are pointing that out. What if you as a parent signed up your kid for this club based on what you saw during one of these summer tournaments. It's equivalent to being shown a Lexus in a car dealership and then the salesman handing you the keys to your newly signed for 2001 ford focus. It's a bait and switch.
Nj fire should clearly identity select squads in tournaments and in social media posts afterwards. Market the hell out of your name, but be honest about it.
