Why would NEFC and SSS or any GA/DPL team send their teams to an ECNL club based tournament? They don’t play in ECNL. There is plenty of equally as good competition at the Seacoast tournament. Obsessed much?

Nefc always goes to Stars Cup.

sss isn't playing any tournaments this fall. They say the reason is covid but why are they the ONLY club not playing any tournaments? Seems like a weak reason to me.

It’s pretty simple they want to keep the tournament money. Most clubs include a few tournaments a year. That would have been budgeted into their costs this year. Knock off one tournament I’m sure they save a good amount of money. Figure x amount of teams x$1,000 that adds up. Keep in mind it’s not just the top teams the go away I think all of their teams do something.

sad that a parent from a club that decided not to play on Columbus Day needs to try and justify their clubs bad decision-umhum SSS- and throws out obvious disinformation in order to make him/her feel better. OK SSS parent let's go with no tournaments in CT. Hope that makes you feel better.

No it isn't. So far so good down here in CT. Of course it can change but fingers crossed. Kids need some normalcy

BINGO!!! This is 100% accurate. Columbus weekend is one of the included tournaments. If they don't go they are saving a lot of money. They would have probably sent 25 girls teams. They also did not refund tournament fees from last year. They took $500 for three spring tournaments but only one was played. They said they couldn't refund the money but they would apply it to tournaments for this year. If they don't go to any tournaments they don't have to apply any money.

that seems terrible! Really? I don't know how much south shore select is-posters are saying between $4300-$4500 but is select refunding any money for not playing this year? how does a club justify whatever their club yearly fee is and not play? Seems like the club is a total mess from afar.
