These might be the last days of athletic scholarships. IF college football is no longer considered an Amatueur sport all the the non-revenue sports will look very different. Would blow up “travel sports”. Clubs enjoy it while you can , because its going to happen.

Why would Title 9 go out the window?

It won't unless overturned by SCOTUS. What can happen in the meantime, however, is that as schools re-evaluate their spending they cut lots of men's teams and men's football scholarships, which then allows them to cut women's teams and scholarships. Most women's soccer and basketball will be fine because of their popularity and ease of filling teams to meet Title 9 requirements.

Many will be - already are actually - but not because Title 9 is out the window. Plenty of less popular sports are getting cut at schools like gymnastics, swimming etc. D2 and D3 programs especially are cutting because they don't get bit TV money from football or basketball and their athletics programs run in the red. Last count there were at least 100 teams ax'd but only two men's soccer teams and no women's teams.
