There would have to be a written contract between a player and a club. However what does that do for a player's eligibility to play for high school or college if they sign such a contract? Would the player be considered a professional and thus ineligible to play high school or college sports?
Most of the talent in the US is pay to play with tons of additional outside paid training. Do you seriously think PA classics should get a nickel for Pulisic? Those payments should go entirely to his parents, PA classics was lucky his parents let Pulisic play with them ..... They had little to nothing to do with him developing ..... Same as most clubs.

Nope...they are hoping their kid gets noticed by a scout for a European academy such as Manchester City, Chelsea, Dortmund, etc.

        This isn’t Goal.
Those scouts don’t even bother coming over here.
        Although Harrison scored against Liverpool.

That is not true. There are a number of clubs which have scouts which come to top tournaments in the U.S. I know this as I recently participated on a webcast with coach from one of the Bundesliga teams academies. How do you think Pulisic, Reyna. De la Fuente, etc were discovered?

Wow, 3 players out of millions.
Pulisic left to go to Germany, Reyna has dad.
And international scouts are well advised by the locals-there are no “discoveries”.

You have to start somewhere. There is potential for a U.S. soccer boom should Pulisic continue to have a significant impact in the PL and Reyna have a breakout season in the Bundesliga. The top players will go to Europe to get the best coaching, training, etc.

This is like Trump saying for the umpteenth time that there is a health care plan coming...
If a US boom hasn’t occurred in the last 2 decades, it’s because the ship has sailed.
