How is the Adidas Savannah Senior Cup College Showcase really a showcase when you are playing two games in one day, with a championship game? This TOURNAMENT seems like a joke to playin. A bunch of lower level teams. And only 13 low level colleges going (DII (3), DIII (1), NAIA (5), & NJCAA(4)). Go look at these school's soccer programs, not very good!!!

If your first team is going to this tournament, you might want to question your club/coaches why you are going, if your kid really wants to play at the next level. What's the point of going if there are only low level colleges??????

Perhaps some want to play at this level. Not everyone wants D1 you know. Some kids may want to experience college life and not have their entire world consumed by soccer. D1 is very intense and requires an enormous commitment.

why do you care if your kid's super special team isn't going? there's load of programs out there at all levels looking for players. for the right teams and players this could be a great fit. there's a great deal of uncertainty about showcases and tournaments and kids need to be seen. take any opportunity you can as long as it's the right fit.

I think the OP is from FP. I'm hearing a lot of complaining from FP parents after the season started. A lot of new kids coming to FP taking spots and playing time away from little Mia and little Donavan.

NCAA Division I sports just extended their off campus recruiting dead period until Mid-April 2021.

Their girls ECNLR went .500 against TBUs second teams. Didn’t see any FB posts about that day.

Total Money grab

This is a total money grab.
First: Showcases should be only 1 game per day so they players don't get burnt out. I'm sure in the last half of the 3rd match in 2 days they are at their peak performance.
Second: Showcases don't have playoffs. Do you think coaches are going to hang around and watch kids in the FOURTH game in 2 days....

If the teams really cared about the players they wouldn't expose them to this crap where getting really injured due to excessive playing time is a huge concern.

Not really, every boys ecnl team is in the top three, the only exception is the 02/03s, they are not very good. So no, they are not competing against the likes of TBU, which almost all there teams are dead last..

Go look at the schedules, there you will see FP has only played against the bottom feeders, unlike TBU's 2 team.

On the Boys side: TBU (3rd team) goes 2-4-2 against FP (2nd team) so far this season.
On the girls side: TBU (2nd team) goes 6-2-2 against FP (1st team) so far this season.
