Smart way to get out of it. If she loses in November she’s out January 1st.
The Senate has departure in order to avoid conflict with the WH.

The Marquette University Law School poll found 67% of respondents believed confirmation should proceed in 2020 while just 32% said the chamber should hold off.
The poll did not suggest a strong partisan divide over the issue, with 68% of Republicans and 63% of Democrats holding that a nomination vote should take place. Independents supported going forward by a 71% margin.

You really are a damn fool you know that right? Marquette polls in the most remote part of Wisconsin making robo calls to Sussex, Milton and Jackson the whitest and most racist cities in America these towns carry a 98% country hick population.

Unbelievable how you post such stupidness without verifying where these polls are done.

Down to 3 and 2 chairs Left waiting for Murkowski ( the three Amigos) looking pretty scary for Moscow Mitch could go down pretty bad.
Remember Collins and Romney voted for witnesses and to impeach Trump.

Going to Costco tomorrow to load up on the 🍿 this will be good.

              You were saying?

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham reversed earlier statements on Saturday and said he will support “any effort” by President Trump to seat another Supreme Court justice.

Of she did. Her seat is on the line but she knows where her bread is buttered in S.C. - with evangelicals.

and yes I used she intentionally. If Miss Thing would come to terms with her sexuality maybe there would be a lot less self loathing and a lot more backbone.

McConnell will do whatever he wants. He doesn't give a crap about what voters want, not even from his own state. It's all about the GOP's last grip on power and leaving a mark for decades, even if it costs the party everything. One of the names being floated is a 48 year female who is crazy conservative. That's what they want - young and dumb.

PANSEy Graham was never on the list of being a “ Never Trumper “ don’t know why you brought him up.
Stick to the names already mentioned, Romney, Collins & Murkowski. And don’t forget about the issue in Arizona which grants the winner which will be a Democrat to Vote in late November

You should be worried, Republicans are desperate and they know November’s results are gonna be baaaaaaad. .

Graham is in a tough spot though as his opponent is closing in. He's show his/her true colors flipping more than a pancake on this issue, and everything else against Trump (some of thing said in the 2016 primary are hilarious when juxtaposed against what he says now). Yes SC is a red state and will vote for Trump, but maybe voters have had enough of Graham.

It would be Huuuuuuuge if PANSEy lost his seat. This “Gurl” thinks there’s an afterlife with Trump but once he’s out she’ll get the 3-6 months of Fox & NEWSMax exposure & then folks will stop listening.

I predict we’ll have a year or two of all kinds of Shenanigans and I expect numerous indictments of Republican congressman.

We can afford 3 if that’s the way it goes. Vp casts the split vote...guess which way he leans.

Arizona doesn’t take effect until nov 30. That is too late. It will be done by then.

Here is my prediction. It will happen as stated above. If not, then they proceed, get the dramatics over with, but Mitch holds off on the actual vote. Then, right after Election Day, when Collins no longer has to worry about re election, she can vote republican. Win win. Either she won and doesn’t have to worry, or she lost and she doesn’t have to worry and sticks it up those who voted her out arse.. either way, vote happens befor nov 30 and before any republicans may be packing up

Trump gets his three and dems have to live with it for 25-30 years, long after he is dead

and if Collins or other GOP senators lose, they can still vote party line because it doesn't matter any longer. One would hope they'd vote with their conscious, but since they're Republicans they don't have them.

It's done, it's legal, but in the long run the GOP will regret the move. They're losing seats, donors, voters and the White House. Don't the think the Dems won't do to the GOP what they've done for the last few years.

Regret it like Reid does? You remember when he changed the rules to allow a simple majority judicial approval process during Obama admin right? Ha ha ha.....Obama continues to screw the dems even in retirement

senate and president have the upper hand here and can play this multiple ways to ensure a win. The hearings will happen quickly and then game theory starts. Will be interesting watching. The person with the most to lose is Kamala. She needs to be careful how she tears down an accomplished woman and doesnt come off as a partisan hit woman. She is running for vp now....cant pull that garbage she did with Kavenaugh.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg chided the Senate in 2016 for failing to fill Antonin Scalia’s Supreme Court seat until after Election Day — in contrast to her own deathbed plea that it now wait until after the 2020 vote to replace her.

Ginsburg, 87, who died from pancreatic cancer on Friday, reportedly told her granddaughter Clara Spera that her “most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed.”

Four years earlier, Fox News noted, she had a different take.

“There’s nothing in the Constitution that says the president stops being the president in his last year,” Ginsburg told the New York Times in 2016 when she urged the Senate to do “their job” and consider President Obama’s court nominee Merrick Garland.
