how would your rank coaches knowledge of soccer

    ^ and if you see a coach letting kids sit entire games, especially before high school age, you know that coach only cares about winning. The same can happen to your kid. PT doesn't have to be equal but it needs to be meaningful. A coach that doesn't make an effort for every player won't for yours either.

    The better coaches my kids have had all keep game time comments to a minimum, let the players go and doesn't yank them for the first mistake. If a player comes off the field they take them aside and talk to them with positive and negative comments. You have their focus then. When they're on the field it's white noise

      Since the inception of youth soccer, woefully ignorant parents have equated the antics of college basketball coaches with “good” coaching, allowing that theory to permeate the pitches of America. They now are slowly beginning to realize that is not the case.
